Pathways to Success
|
Introduction Success can be hard to define. Two organizations have joined together to define it as activities of individuals that have had a positive impact on their community and society. It is our goal to recognize individuals who have graduated from Albert Lea High School and have excelled in their careers and lives. We hope that through this recognition and honoring of individuals who are alumni of Albert Lea High School, they will be seen as role models for students as they seek their pathways to success. Those honored will be graduates who have achieved success in the fields of:
Program outline
A committee of representatives of the sponsoring organizations will solicit nominations of individuals who are believed to meet the qualifications for recognition in a specific category. The committee will consider the nominations and choose recipients who will be named Distinguished Alumni and be recognized at a special banquet. One or more of the chosen recipients may be asked to speak at the banquet. All recipients will be invited to appear at Albert Lea High School to share their experiences with students. Each recipient will have a plaque placed on a wall at the high school, and receive a memento of the occasion. They also receive a standing invitation to attend future events honoring other distinguished alumni Program goals
It is our hope that the examples set by these distinguished alumni will inspire current students by the knowledge that their pathway to success begins with their education. We also want to instill in the community a sense of recognition of the positive outcomes achieved by graduates of Albert Lea High School, a sense of pride in what the school contributes to help them attain success, and create an awareness of the need to support educational opportunities for our children.
